CONRAD BEAUBIEN Writer / Producer / Creative Director
Writing for television, stage and print, Conrad’s love of storytelling has led hi on a life path in the arts. An Independent film producer, director and writer his expression also takes in the mediums of music, painting and sculpture. With a career spanning decades, Conrad’s television credits include the award-winning documentaries Red Road, Village of Thirty Centuries and The Secret of Will. Series credits include Strange But True, a U.K./U.S./Canada co-production and Second Chance.. Conrad is also the creator and producer of Sketches of Our Town, the longest-running independently produced series in Canada. Turning his energies to theatre, he has seen the successful launch of original works for stage including Stringman, Back of Hoards Station, Bridge Street, The Undoing of Billy Slim, The Boxcar Cowboy, Rosalia’s Piano and his most recent, Private Reuben Pearce.

JOHN BURNS “BURNSIE” Artistic Director / Director / Producer
Upon Completing a career in Theatre Education, John has spent over half a century organizing theatre companies: (“County Theatre Group” / “Festival Players of Prince Edward County” (recently rebranded as “County Stage Company”) / and finally (with Conrad Beaubien) Théâtre Roulant. John’s two principal contributions are as Producer of these works. But his creative instincts are found in the Directing of Plays.
Théâtre Roulant is special to him. It is unique. It simultaneously occupies the universe of avant garde and ancient. Horse Drawn. An Elemental form of story sharing. At Waring House. On the lawn. At the Roundabout …

SHAWN MURENBEELD Artist / Consultant
Shawn is an art director, designer, artist and amateur small engine mechanic with 20+ years of agency and corporate experience. He’s worked across all creative fields (including some pretty muddy ones in order to get the shot). From organizational branding to advertising to product design, not to mention visual merchandising, video, and interactive media.

SARAH KIRBY Marketing / Communications / Producer / Actor
This original County Girl returned to the stage with Théâtre Roulant in 2023 to play Elizabeth in “Back of Hoards Station”. She had such a great time that when asked to join the team, she couldn’t say no. In our 2024 Summer season, Sarah played Hannah in “Private Reuben Pearce” and multiple roles in “An Evening with Shakes-Beer (and Whine)”. She returns to the stage for the 2025 summer season as Margaret in “No Traveller Returns” and multiple roles in “Shakes-Beer Rides Again!”.

ALFIE LATANSKI Musician / Sound & Light Engineer & Technician
Entertainer, band leader, Spanish guitarist & composer, Alfie Latanski has performed both locally and internationally and has numerous radio and TV performances to his credit. He has also appeared as a guest artist with many other recording musicians and has recently released his latest CD Soulheart available online. Alfie’s music placed #1 on Reverbnation in the world music & smooth jazz category. Théâtre Roulant is thrilled and thankful to have Alfie on our team. MIKE KIRBY Writer / Director
After producing two high school plays while teaching at St. Theresa in Belleville, Mike got his first on-stage role in 2010 with the Marysburgh Mummers in The Mumberley Inheritance. In 2014 he, along with his wife Sarah, started The Village Theatre which staged dinner theatre shows at Capers in Belleville. Shows included One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Laramie Project. In the summer of 2024 Theatre Roulant invited Mike to stage his first ever play, An Evening with Shakes-Beer (& Whine). Mike is delighted to be invited back for the summer of 2025 to stage the sequel, Shakes-Beer Rides Again.

LISE LINDENBERG Director
Lise has been involved in various aspects of the theatre since her time in high school. Like many people, she acted in a one-act play and got the theatre bug. Since then, she has directed numerous full-length plays, five musicals, acted in a variety of roles, designed and painted sets, and written a couple of one act plays. When she’s not in the theatre, she can be found making pottery with her husband, Perry or spending quality time riding her bike.

COLLEEN JOHNSON Stage Manager
Colleen has been involved in the theatre scene in PEC for over 45 years: musician, actor, director, producer, set designer, and stage manager. As a founding member of Quinte’s Isle Theatre, Colleen's rich and diverse career has seen her collaborate with The County Theatre Group, Prince Edward Community Theatre, Country Roads Theatre, Shatter Box Theatre, and the Mummers. As a musician, she has played around North America and Europe with the 8 Wing Trenton Military Band and currently plays flute and piccolo with the Brighton All-Stars.

HOWARD LOPEZ Musician
Classically trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto (ARCT - Piano Performance), Howard has performed in the corporate and special event arena for 35+ years for literally hundreds of functions. Howard loves working with choirs and is the Music Director at Sydenham Street United Church in Kingston. Lesser known, are his composition activities. His four collections are found on iTunes and include: “Under the Piano”, “Music and Mistletoe”, “Echoes” and “Sounds for the Soul”. Howard lends his creative and performance skills in the presentation of this play with the "Théâtre Roulant" troupe and creates, the musical backdrop, in the moment and, in tandem with Co-Producer Conrad Beaubien. As a result, no two performances will be the same. Each performance will be unique and will be a “one-time” experience...

MEGAN HUTTON Musician / Actor
Best known as the lead singer of Instant Rivalry, Megan is an award winning singer - songwriter and a graduate from NYU's prestigious Clive Davis Institute and TISCH. Aside from music, Megan is an actress, an award winning playwright, a songwriting teacher and a music event producer and coordinator for 99.3 County FM. Megan penned the song “Ride On” for Private Rueben Pearce and has written the score for the 2025 production of Bridge Street.

MICHAEL CODE Assistant Director / Actor
Low-level government employee by day, thespian by night. Michael's parents knew he was destined for theatre life since childhood, where he had a recurring role as "boy faking sick to get out of going to school." More recently, he's been involved with several productions for Belleville Theatre Guild, including Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death, and The Rock. Michael joins Théâtre Roulant in its 2025 season as assistant director on No Traveller Returns, and in various roles in Shakes-Beer Rides Again.

DAVID BAKER Actor
David is happy to be returning for his second season with Théâtre Roulant. He is a graduate of the University of Windsor’s BFA – Acting program. Some of his most recent theatre credits include the one man play Monster by Daniel MacIvor, Demitrius (Midsummer Night's Dream), and roles in both An Evening with Shakes-Beer (and Whine) and Dying Like This from Theatre Roulant's 2024 summer season.

LIZ SIMPSON Actor
Liz began her journey in the theatre world with competitive improv, honing her skills and passion for performance. She served as an assistant stage manager for Blue Canoe Theater and later worked as the scenic artist for Kinsmen Productions. After moving to the County, Liz leaped into acting for the first time, quickly finding her place in the vibrant theatre community. After several productions with PECT, she is thrilled to reunite with Théâtre Roulant. Her most recent roles include "Yvette" in PECT's production of Clue and read aloud for the character "Macaroon" in Conrad Beaubien's original screenplay A Christmas to Remember. Liz loves performing for County audiences and cherishes PEC's supportive theatre community.

PAT LARKIN Actor
For over two decades, Pat has charmed audiences with roles ranging from the flamboyant Frankenfurter in Rocky Horror to the dark intensity of Mark Rothko in Red and the heartfelt Norman in On Golden Pond. Pat's dedication has earned him two Best Actor awards from the Eastern Ontario Drama League (EODL). With a warm smile and infectious enthusiasm, Pat embraces each role, grateful for the friendships and stories that make theatre so magical.

WENDY ROY Actor
As a very silly person, and also a middle child, Wendy was naturally drawn to the stage. She joined the local theatre community in 2013, and has appeared in numerous productions in the Quinte area. In November 2019, with the Belleville Theatre Guild, she was the recipient of the Mae Carmichael Acting Award at the EODL One Act Play Festival. She is delighted to continue being a silly person on the Théâtre Roulant stage.

JAMES FRASER Actor
James studied at the Oxford School of Drama. Stage credits include: Marc Antony (Julius Caesar), Jack Point (The Yeomen of the Guard), Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Edward II (Edward II), Jesus (Godspell), Karsten Bernick (Pillars of Society), Semyon (The Suicide), Tom (A Poster of the Cosmos), Jack Point (The Yeomen of the Guard) and Seymour Krelborn (Little Shop of Horrors). James has been lucky enough to perform in a variety of venues in the UK from open air Shakespeare to the Bristol Old Vic and the National Theatre’s Olivier Theatre. Directing credits include Pinter's Betrayal, West Side Story, The Investigation and Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience. TV / Film Credits include: The Fire Inside, Departure, Brother and Murdoch Mysteries.

BILL PETCH Actor
Actor, director, playwright, singer, musician, sound designer ... yup, that just about covers it. Been involved in theatre for over 50 years at professional and community theatres in Quebec, Alberta and Ontario, including countless productions with the Belleville Theatre Guild starting in 1999. Other local companies include Stirling Festival Theatre, Belleville's Theatre in the Wings, MyTheatre in Trenton. A handful of the plays I've written have been on the boards, as well. Very pleased to add Théâtre Roulant to my performance list and I hope my association with this group continues for a long time to come!

DAVE HENDERSON Actor
Although this is his first appearance with Théâtre Roulant, Dave, a semi-retired teacher, has been involved in school productions and community theatre for most of his life. A resident of the County for 25+ years and Belleville for the last five, much of his work has been with the Belleville Theatre Guild as an actor, set designer, producer, and director. He was recognized by the EODL with an Acting Excellence Award in 2000 for The Wake of Jamey Foster, and, as a director, the Best Visual Presentation Award in 2023 for How the Other Half Loves. One of his most memorable roles was that of Captain von Trapp in last season's BTG production of The Sound of Music, mostly for his inability to master Austrian folk dances. He is looking forward to more directing opportunities and non-dancing roles in the future.

GAGE BRODERICK Actor
Gage takes his experience as both Production Lead at 99.3 County FM and frequent voice actor to the stage for Théâtre Roulant. Though he's new to the stage, Gage takes every challenge thrown at him with enthusiasm and aims to help bring life to any play he is in.

JEAN PARKER Actor
Jean is delighted to be back in the county working alongside such good company! Her past credits include Martha in Unwrapping Christmas (Hallmark), Kit in Law and Order Toronto (Citytv) Maggie in Taking Care of Crumley (Ontario Street Theatre) Juliet in Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) (Festival Players), Sissy in This is a Play (Belleville Theatre Guild), Stanley in Elizabeth Rex (Festival Players), Brooke in Noises Off (Belleville Summer Theatre) and Pisano in Cymbeline (Victoria Shakespeare Society). Catch Jean next on August 9th performing in The Port Hope Festival of The Arts or hamming it up in Clue ; a weekly improv show at The Social Capital Theatre in Toronto!

LEAH HAMILTON Actor
Leah has been involved in the performing arts industry from a variety of perspectives and in different roles throughout her life. Starting out as a child model and talent at age 6, Leah grew up on camera and on the stage. Leah trained as a professional dancer throughout her school years, later moving to the Netherlands where she completed her university education in Theatre and Art & Cognition. Leah continued to work in the modelling and fashion industry in the Netherlands. Upon returning to Canada in 2020, Leah has been involved in productions in the Quinte region as an actress and choreographer. By day, Leah is the Director of a model and talent agency and performing arts academy, Elevation Hall, where she consults on commercial projects and develops models and talent who are pursuing their own career in the Canadian arts industry. Leah is excited to join the Théâtre Roulant community in her role of Sara, in "No Traveller Returns" this Summer (2025).

ELLIE LINDENBERG Assistant Stage Manager
Ellie has been involved with the Belleville Theatre Guild since childhood, performing in productions such as The Velveteen Rabbit, Anne of Green Gables, and The King and I. During high school, she was part of the Art Program’s Drama Department, where she played the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland and starred as the Popper in The Prince and the Popper. Ellie is thrilled to be the Assistant Stage Manager for this production and feels lucky to be working with such a talented and dedicated cast and crew!

TOM COATES Actor
Somewhat a newcomer to the stage, Tom's theatrical debut was at The Village Theatre production of "The Laramie Project" in 2018 followed by "Finding My Way Back To Me" at the Pinnacle Playhouse. An electrical engineering graduate of Queen's University, Tom retired from a 30+ year career in engineering during The Great Resignation of 2021.

SAM HIRST Musician
Sam has been a musician and music director for over 30 years, in choral, band, and musical theatre settings. Her cow path has taken her through musical traditions around the world, from Ghana and Japan to the Republic of Georgia and Eastern Europe, only to lead her back to her hometown in the County playing, directing, and performing funk, disco, blues, jazz and classical music. Sam is happy for the opportunity to collaborate with the folks at Station Road Arts.

DAVID BURNS Actor
A graduate of York University, David is an actor and an educator. He has performed in film, theatre and at such venues as Second City, Factory Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille and Meridian Hall in Toronto. Since graduating from York University’s Fine Arts Education program with a specialty in Drama in 2006, he has taught in England and Canada. David has previously performed with Theatre Roulant in “Box Car Cowboy” and “Back of Hoards Station.” David is currently serving as the secretary on the board of Station Road Arts.

IAN FELTHAM Director
Ian’s nearly 20-year involvement with theatre in the Quinte region began shortly after he moved from his homeland of Newfoundland. He has written, produced, and directed plays, as well as tread the boards with theatre groups in Brighton, Trenton, and Belleville. Highlights include Mousetrap, The Woman in Black, Our Town, Tempting Providence, An Evening with Beckett, and En Garde. He recently directed an award-winning production of Between Breaths with the Belleville Theatre Guild. This is his first opportunity to work in the County, and he feels very privileged to collaborate with such a committed cast and crew to help bring the story of Private Reuben Pearce to life.

TOM DIETZEL Musician
Hailing from Moose Jaw, Tom studied classical piano with Carl Ellis and Maude McGuire. At St. Joseph’s Church in Belleville he led a musical theatre youth group, - composing and performing settings of gospel stories, and he has been involved with musicals at the Belleville Theatre Guild since 2005. Tom enjoys time visiting with his sons in Toronto and Montreal.

MEAGHAN LOVE Actor / Musician
Meaghan is no stranger to the stage. She is an award-winning actress who has performed on stages in many different theatre companies (St. James' Players, Peterborough Theatre Guild, Kemptville Players, Belleville Theatre Guild, Lennox Community Theatre) before joining the Theatre Roulant troupe. When she’s not teaching the Arts in Quinte area schools or acting on stages, Meaghan is also a local musician who performs solo acoustic shows, as well as shows with her band, The Chachkies. Meaghan is delighted to be working with such a talented cast and production team.

BILL MCBURNEY Musician
'Kentucky Bill' as he's called around our parts, was born in Ottawa where at the age of twelve, he got his hands on his first guitar. Life took him to many places including Kentucky where he raised his family. Eventually the call of the north got to him and while that first guitar was by then worn out and his car broken down, Bill still had a lot of songs in him. With his self-deprecating humour, Bill now likes to be known as The Legend, mainly because of his advanced years. Come and take in his music as he plays opening sets before each one of the performances of Private Rueben Pearce.

MARK LESAGE Actor
“At last, I get to do Shakespeare!” Mark is super-stoked to be a part of the “Shakes-beer” cast this summer. He has been treading the boards since elementary school, as a director, actor, playwright and teacher of drama. He has performed in Trenton, with the Belleville Theatre Guild (On Golden Pond, Calendar Girls) Theatre in the Wings, and Tweed & Co. Theatre (Hastings the Musical, Aleck Bell). Mark has fond memories of acting in Mike Kirby’s productions of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and was honoured to get a casting call for this production. Mark has most recently performed his one man play, “The Rebel of Hungerford” at a family reunion in Tweed. Nowadays you will find Mark performing as his alter ego, the romantically challenged accordion player, Torbic Kagmire.

BILL MCMAHON Actor
Bill has been involved in the Quinte Region theatre scene as both director and actor for the past twelve years. Bill, working primarily with Prince Edward Community Theatre has directed “God of Carnage” “The Mousetrap” “Time Stands Still” “Veronica’s Room” “Crimes Of The Heart” and “The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble” and directed “Proof” and “The Dining Room” with The Belleville Theatre Guild. On stage roles include Syndney, in “Deathtrap” Morgan in “The Drawer Boy” Robert, in “Proof” James in “The Black Chair” and Krapp in “Krapp’s Last Tape” at Belleville’s Theatre in the Wings.

MATTHEW MCPHEE Actor
Matthew is a an actor, writer and educator with a love of all things Shakespeare. A relative newcomer to the stage, he began his acting career in 2022 with an award winning turn as William Deitweiler in the Belleville Theater Guild's "How the Other Half Loves." The next year he returned to the stage, starring in the widely acclaimed "Over the River and through the Woods." When not writing or rehearsing, Matt can typically be found slouched over a desk marking papers in his starring role as a high-school social science teacher.

THUNDER & JOE Ambassadors
Folks often think these two guys are the brains of our operation and there are some days we feel the same way.
That is Thunder on the right who at this particular moment was holding out for a raise in pay. Meanwhile brother Joe on the left is all ears. Walking with Thunder, a series of meditative walks through the outback of Prince Edward County is something that helps keep a lot of us sane. And then again, there are others...
