CONRAD BEAUBIEN Writer / Producer / Creative Director
Writing for television, stage and print, Conrad’s love of storytelling has led hi on a life path in the arts. An Independent film producer, director and writer his expression also takes in the mediums of music, painting and sculpture. With a career spanning decades, Conrad’s television credits include the award-winning documentaries Red Road, Village of Thirty Centuries and The Secret of Will. Series credits include Strange But True, a U.K./U.S./Canada co-production and Second Chance.. Conrad is also the creator and producer of Sketches of Our Town, the longest-running independently produced series in Canada. Turning his energies to theatre, he has seen the successful launch of original works for stage including Stringman, Back of Hoards Station, Bridge Street, The Undoing of Billy Slim, The Boxcar Cowboy, Rosalia’s Piano and his most recent, Private Reuben Pearce.

JOHN BURNS “BURNSIE” Artistic Director / Director / Producer
Upon Completing a career in Theatre Education, John has spent over half a century organizing theatre companies: (“County Theatre Group” / “Festival Players of Prince Edward County” (recently rebranded as “County Stage Company”) / and finally (with Conrad Beaubien) Théâtre Roulant. John’s two principal contributions are as Producer of these works. But his creative instincts are found in the Directing of Plays.
Théâtre Roulant is special to him. It is unique. It simultaneously occupies the universe of avant garde and ancient. Horse Drawn. An Elemental form of story sharing. At Waring House. On the lawn. At the Roundabout …

Shawn is an art director, designer, artist and amateur small engine mechanic with 20+ years of agency and corporate experience. He’s worked across all creative fields (including some pretty muddy ones in order to get the shot). From organizational branding to advertising to product design, not to mention visual merchandising, video, and interactive media.

SARAH KIRBY Marketing / Communications / Producer / Actor
This original County Girl returned to the stage with Théâtre Roulant in 2023 to play Elizabeth in “Back of Hoards Station”. She had such a great time that when asked to join the team, she couldn’t say no. In our 2024 Summer season, Sarah played Hannah in “Private Reuben Pearce” and multiple roles in “An Evening with Shakes-Beer (and Whine)”. She returns to the stage for the 2025 summer season as Margaret in “No Traveller Returns” and multiple roles in “Shakes-Beer Rides Again!”.

ALFIE LATANSKI Musician / Sound Technician
Entertainer, band leader, Spanish guitarist & composer, Alfie Latanski has performed both locally and internationally and has numerous radio and TV performances to his credit. He has also appeared as a guest artist with many other recording musicians and has recently released his latest CD Soulheart available online. Alfie’s music placed #1 on Reverbnation in the world music & smooth jazz category. Théâtre Roulant is thrilled and thankful to have Alfie on our team. MEGAN HUTTON Musician / Writer / Director / Actor
Megan Hutton is an award-winning singer-songwriter, playwright, and music educator who studied at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and Tisch School of the Arts. This marks her third season with Théâtre Roulant, having appeared in Rosalia’s Piano (2023), composed the score and served as script editor for Private Reuben Pearce (2024), and composed the score for Bridge Street (2025). She joined the Théâtre Roulant board of directors last fall.
This season, Megan makes her Théâtre Roulant script debut, premiering Small Town, for which she wrote the script and music, and serves as both director and actor. She is best known as the lead singer of the country band Instant Rivalry and as Live Music Director at 99.3 County FM. Megan is passionate about storytelling in all its forms and is dedicated to supporting and celebrating local arts in Prince Edward County, as seen by her Musical debut The Ultimate County Kid, earlier this year with The Marysburgh Mummers.
Megan is thrilled to bring the fictional town of Monroe to life and hopes audiences see a little of their own community in Small Town.

JENNIFER SILLS Playwright / Director
Jen is a "Born & Raised" County girl. Theatre came back into her life 23 years ago when her 4 year wanted to be on stage at Mount Tabor. Jen has been active in the theatre community ever since, taking on roles on and off stage. She has worked with Prince Edward Community Theatre and the Marysburgh Mummers as an actor, producer, costumer and director. Jen has had the privledge to work on productions such as Moon Over Buffalo, Proof, The Drawer Boy and Steal Magnolias. In 2010 Jen penned "Hunting Camp - No Girls Allowed" and "Christmas In July". Jen is excited to be working with Théâtre Roulant this year and hopes that audiences enjoy what we have in store.

JAMES FRASER Director / Actor
James is an actor, director and founder of the County Shakespeare Company.
Theatre includes: Algernon Moncrieff (The Importance of Being Earnest), The Great Prospero (No Traveller Returns), Marc Antony (Julius Caesar), Jack Point (The Yeomen of the Guard), Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Edward II (Edward II), Jesus (Godspell), Karsten Bernick (Pillars of Society), Semyon (The Suicide), Tom (A Poster of the Cosmos) and Seymour Krelborn (Little Shop of Horrors). James has been lucky enough to perform in a variety of venues in the UK from open air Shakespeare to the Bristol Old Vic and the National Theatre’s Olivier Theatre. Directing credits include The Importance of Being Earnest, Pinter's Betrayal, West Side Story, The Investigation and Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience.
TV & Film includes: The Fire Inside, Departure, Brother and Murdoch Mysteries.
Trained at: James graduated from the Oxford School of Drama with a post-graduate degree in acting.

SAM HIRST Musician / Co-Director
Sam is thrilled to be venturing into theatre direction as a co-director in Small Town, with her vast experience of dealing with sticky situations in the small town where she lives. She is no stranger to the world of theatre, contributing music direction to County Stage, Shatterbox Theatre and the Department of Illumination. Sam also works as a music educator with Quintissimo, Music at Port Milford and the PEC Arts Council, as well as privately. When she isn't waving a baton, she performs regularly behind a piano with Cue the Funk, Use Guys and the Frank Howard Big Band. Special thanks to Megan Hutton, Théâtre Roulant, and the cast and crew of Small Town for making this experience unforgettably fun!

COLLEEN JOHNSON Production Coordinator / Stage Manager
Colleen has been involved in the theatre scene in PEC for over 45 years: musician, actor, director, producer, set designer, and stage manager. As a founding member of Quinte’s Isle Theatre, Colleen's rich and diverse career has seen her collaborate with The County Theatre Group, Prince Edward Community Theatre, Country Roads Theatre, Shatter Box Theatre, and the Mummers. As a musician, she has played around North America and Europe with the 8 Wing Trenton Military Band and currently plays flute and piccolo with the Brighton All-Stars.

ORION O’BRIEN Assistant Stage Manager
This is Orion's first time working in theatre, but they are eager to gain as much knowledge as they can. They feel tremendously honoured to be working alongside such talented and creative people. Inspired by legendary storytellers such as Brennon Lee Mulligan and Hiromu Arakawa, they hope to tell stories that can inspire others and ignite their belief in the indomitable human spirit.

HOWARD LOPEZ Music Director
Now in his second year with Théâtre Roulant, Howard brings a wealth of musical experience to the production. Originally from Toronto, Howard received his formal training at the Royal Conservatory of Music, earning an ARCT in Piano Performance. He holds both a BA and BEd from the University of Toronto.
Since 1985, Howard has produced live music for corporate events through his company, Soundscape Productions. He served as Music and Choir Director at Mayfield United Church in Caledon for 14 years, culminating in a pre-pandemic performance at Carnegie Hall—the only Canadian choir among 300 singers from across the U.S.
Howard’s original music has been licensed for film and television through BMG-US and Odeon Records, and is available on Spotify and iTunes. A long-time contributor to the theatrical scene, he has created and performed music for several Erin Theatre productions, and adapted The Great Canadian Caper for radio—aired on 99.3 County FM during March Maple Madness.
Now based in Prince Edward County, Howard is Music Director at Sydenham Street United in Kingston and remains an active performer throughout the region. He also owns and operates an Airbnb on Picton Bay.
Howard is thrilled to return to Théâtre Roulant and share in the joy of live performance once again.

DAVID BAKER Actor
David is happy to be returning for his second season with Théâtre Roulant. He is a graduate of the University of Windsor’s BFA – Acting program. Some of his most recent theatre credits include the one man play Monster by Daniel MacIvor, Demitrius (Midsummer Night's Dream), and roles in both An Evening with Shakes-Beer (and Whine) and Dying Like This from Theatre Roulant's 2024 summer season.

WENDY ROY Actor
Wendy has appeared in numerous productions in the Quinte area, including Rachel/Roscoe in One Man, Two Guvnors (Belleville Theatre Guild), Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest (Marysburgh Mummers), Juliet, Goneril, Loustello and Newscaster in ShakesBeer Rides Again! (Theatre Roulant), Alice Woodstock in No Traveller Returns (Theatre Roulant), Marie in A Single Step (Theatre in the Wings), Cassie in Rumors (Belleville Theatre Guild) and Belinda/Flavia in Noises Off (Belleville Theatre Guild).
In November 2019, with the Belleville Theatre Guild, she was the recipient of the Mae Carmichael Acting Award at the EODL One Act Play Festival.
Drawing on her rich background of diverse onstage roles, Wendy continues to refine her craft through practical, hands-on experience. She is dedicated to bringing grounded, authentic storytelling to the stage.

KEVEN FLESCH Actor
Kevin is a New Actor and former Lights and Sound Tech with the Théâtre Roulant, making his Professional debut as Banquo in the County Shakespeare Company’s production of Macbeth. Kevin's energy and openness have allowed him to fit right in with the Troupe.
Kevin looks forward to bringing his unique energy to life in the role of Jeff Paxton, in the Maureen Jennings play, “Death in a Black Suit”. He is grateful to be part of such an amazing ensemble. He thanks his friends and family for their unwavering support as he embarks on this new journey.

BILL PETCH Actor
2026 marks my 50th anniversary of stage work! Last summer, I was delighted to play my first detective role in No Traveller Returns at Theatre Roulant. Between stage and voice work, I've also played the Prime Minister of Canada, Premier of Ontario, businessmen, lawyers, serial killers, dead guys, gangsters, politicians, professors, men, women, children and actors. Now, thanks to Megan Hutton and her lovely script for Small Town, I can add "Doctor" to the list! Also, After Mom, a play co-written with my son Joel, will run this December at Theatre in the Wings in Belleville.

Jean is delighted to be back in the county working alongside such good company! Her past credits include Martha in Unwrapping Christmas (Hallmark), Kit in Law and Order Toronto (Citytv) Maggie in Taking Care of Crumley (Ontario Street Theatre) Juliet in Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) (Festival Players), Sissy in This is a Play (Belleville Theatre Guild), Stanley in Elizabeth Rex (Festival Players), Brooke in Noises Off (Belleville Summer Theatre) and Pisano in Cymbeline (Victoria Shakespeare Society). Catch Jean next on August 9th performing in The Port Hope Festival of The Arts or hamming it up in Clue ; a weekly improv show at The Social Capital Theatre in Toronto!

DAVID BURNS Actor
David is a full time educator and former professional actor. David has acted at Second City, The Meridian Arts Centre, Factory Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille and Tarragon Theatre. Having performed in Boxcar Cowboy, Back of Hoards Station and Private Ruben Pearce with Théâtre Roulant, he is thrilled to be back in Maureen Jennings' Death in a Black Suit. David is currently serving as the secretary on the board of Station Road Arts.

BILL MCMAHON Actor
Bill is thrilled to be back with this amazing company as Lyle Munro in Small Town! He has been involved in the Quinte Region theatre scene as both actor and director for the past 15 years. He most recently played Dad in PECT’s “A Nice Family Gathering.” Other roles include Sydney in “Deathtrap”, Morgan in “The Drawer Boy”, Robert in “Proof”, Krapp in “Krapp’s Last Tape”, James in “The Black Chair” and Harry in “Dying Like This.” Directing credits include “God of Carnage”, “The Mousetrap”, “Time Stands Still”, “Veronica’s Room”, “Proof”, “Crimes Of The Heart”, “The Dining Room” and “The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble”. Bill will be directing PECT’s production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” this coming April.

Gage takes his experience as both Production Lead at 99.3 County FM and frequent voice actor to the stage for Théâtre Roulant. Though he's new to the stage, Gage takes every challenge thrown at him with enthusiasm and aims to help bring life to any play he is in.

GALVIN DRAKE Actor
Galvin is a new addition to Théâtre Roulant’s 2026 season. Relatively new to theatre, within the last two years, his past performances include Agatha Raisin and The Quiche of Death, The Wayside Motor Inn and Dear Santa with The Belleville Theatre Guild. Excited to be part of Hunting Camp-No Girls Allowed, it is a reminder of the importance to keep learning, growing and showing up when the opportunity arrives. Grateful for the journey and excited for whatever may come.

MELISSA MACDONALD Actor
Melissa is overjoyed to join Théâtre Roulant for the 2026 season! As a theatre enthusiast, Melissa avidly supports performing arts in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. A long-time Board Director with Tweed and Company Theatre, Melissa recently decided to step onstage and into the FUN, with Bancroft's 24 Hour Theatre Project, Quinte Little Theatre, and Shatterbox Theatre's pre-show for the wildly successful Cabaret. Costumes and characters fill the page @melissamacdee on Instagram. Melissa would like to thank her husband, Mike and their many cats, her biggest fans, and her friends and family for their support and encouragement.

AARON ARMSTRONG Actor
Aaron is thrilled to be making his debut with Théâtre Roulant. A lifelong theatre lover who recently found his way back to the stage, Aaron graduated from York University in Theatre Studies before doing what many Arts graduates do best: collect an impressively eclectic résumé. Past lives include brewery operations manager, organic vegetable farmer, trivia host, children's toys sales analyst, stage manager, and video store clerk - each role providing essential material for dramatic interpretation.
Past stage credits include Victor the Kit Kat Boy in Cabaret, Miles in She Kills Monster (Shatterbox Theatre), Herb in Godspell (South Simcoe Theatre), Orphan in The Mousetrap (Theatre Collingwood). Aaron extends heartfelt thanks to his partner, Ben, for patiently - and repeatedly - running lines with him.

AMY REID Actor
Amy is an actor, director, producer, and theatre educator with more than 40 years of experience. Originally from BC, Amy is new to the community. Her experience includes creating everything from large scale all ages theatre events to intimate productions to directing and acting on the floating stage in Whistler for the annual arts festival. Recent stage credits include Miss Rose in The Girl in the Goldfish Bowl, the White Witch in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and the Narrator in the one woman show, Every Brilliant Thing. Screen credits include Maid (Netflix), Smoke (Apple TV+), Resident Alien (Syfy), and The Hammer (Lifetime).
Amy has loved meeting and working the talented folks of The County is excited to join the outdoor caravan stage of Théâtre Roulant this season.

Stephanie is excited to make her Théâtre Roulant debut in Hunting Camp. Previous credits include Sally Bowles in Cabaret and Martha in Spring Awakening (Shatterbox Theatre); Sheila in A Chorus Line (Kingston Meistersingers); Beth in Where You Are and the 10-Minute Play Festival (Theatre in the Wings); Miss Stacy in Anne of Green Gables and Kat Parkin in The Ultimate County Kid (Marysburgh Mummers); Dragon/Mama Ogre in Shrek the Musical (BrightON Stage Productions); Warden of the Wilds in The Delhi Park Pageant (Department of Illumination); Cathy in The Last Five Years and Ensemble in Annie Get Your Gun (Belleville Theatre Guild); and Ensemble/Dancer in In the Key of Blue. When not on stage, Stephanie teaches yoga with Serendipity Yoga in Picton."

FELICIA HOLMES Actor
Felicia is a half-Filipino actor based in Kingston, ON. She is super excited to be working with Théâtre Roulant and The County Shakespeare Company this summer. Originally from Toronto, Felicia got her start performing in her school's production of Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing at 10-years-old. Felicia graduated from the Music Theatre program at St. Lawrence College and Queen's University. Credit’s include: Theatre Orangeville's Boys Girls and Other Mythological Creatures (Abbey), 6AM Production’s Love in The First Degree (Rebecca St. Germaine), Domino's As You Like It (Pheobe).

JOHN P BETTS Actor
John didn’t start acting till later in life but he’s enjoyed the experience very much. He’s previously appeared in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest with the Domino Theatre and The Molly Coddlers, Love List and The Foreigner with the Lennox Community Theatre. This is a new and exciting challenge in his Acting life and he’s excited to be a part of Théâtre Roulant 2026 season as farmer Johnston in Small Town.

GABRIEL GUADAGNIN Actor
Gabriel is returning to the Théâtre Roulant stage as Ben Bishop in Small Town. He joined the acting troupe in 2023 in Conrad Beaubien's Rosalia's Piano and has helped out behind the scenes over the past few years.
A singer and actor from Prince Edward County, some notable works include starring as Melchior Gabor in Spring Awakening, fronting the popular dance band, Cue The Funk and most recently performing as half of the musical duo Megan & Gabriel. Gabriel is also a Worship Leader at Wellington Pentecostal Church.
He is excited to be working alongside his wife and playwright, Megan Hutton this summer and hopes you enjoy the show! -

CAROL MANNHEIM Actor
Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga, Carol graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Radio/TV/Film production. She spent several years in Public Television before marriage to Pete Mannheim. While being a Trad wife, raising kids and homeschooling she was also active as a Volunteer serving whatever organization her kids were in and her different churches. Carol has extensive experience as an event planner, over the years she has packed up those events and taken them to far flung places such as Crimea and Belgium supporting missionaries in those area. She has years of experience as a back up harmony singer in bands, an avid crafter and fibre artist as well as a sound mixer and tech for a local acoustic band. She and Pete are enthusiastic participants in local open mics around the County. Doing creative things with other people is what floats her boat and keeps her from becoming a menace to society.

TOM COATES Actor / Treasurer / Sewing
Somewhat a newcomer to the stage, Tom's theatrical debut was at The Village Theatre production of "The Laramie Project" in 2018 followed by "Finding My Way Back To Me" at the Pinnacle Playhouse. An electrical engineering graduate of Queen's University, Tom retired from a 30+ year career in engineering during The Great Resignation of 2021.
In 2026 Tom joined the Théâtre Roulant board as Treasurer and enjoys working on costume alterations among many other things.

BILL MCBURNEY Musician
'Kentucky Bill' as he's called around our parts, was born in Ottawa where at the age of twelve, he got his hands on his first guitar. Life took him to many places including Kentucky where he raised his family. Eventually the call of the north got to him and while that first guitar was by then worn out and his car broken down, Bill still had a lot of songs in him. With his self-deprecating humour, Bill now likes to be known as The Legend, mainly because of his advanced years. Come and take in his music as he plays opening sets before each one of the performances of Private Rueben Pearce.

Tom Leighton Musician
A Mulit-instrumentalist, Tom plays piano, accordion, accordion bass, bouzouki, bodhran, whistles, jaw harps, - sometimes several of them at the same time! He plays in many styles including Celtic, East Coast, Rock and Swing. His versatility is without compare.
Tom is a Recording Artist, with solo instrumental albums and several CDs.
As an accompanist Tom also plays live gigs with such musical talents as Anne Lederman, Conrad Kipping, Marie Lynn Hammond, Rick Bauer, Ian Bell and Mark Despault and has performed on over 60 recordings.
Tom has arranged and conducted for the Riverdale Share concert house band in Toronto for 18 + years.
Tom has been the Musical Director on several productions with Festival Players and has co-written two plays with Suzanne Pasternak and Marion DeVries, Minerva and Ship of Fire.

MIKE KIRBY Writer / Director
After producing two high school plays while teaching at St. Theresa in Belleville, Mike got his first on-stage role in 2010 with the Marysburgh Mummers in The Mumberley Inheritance. In 2014 he, along with his wife Sarah, started The Village Theatre which staged dinner theatre shows at Capers in Belleville. Shows included One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Laramie Project. In the summer of 2024 Theatre Roulant invited Mike to stage his first ever play, An Evening with Shakes-Beer (& Whine). Mike is delighted to be invited back for the summer of 2025 to stage the sequel, Shakes-Beer Rides Again.

ABIGAIL SCHMITZ Director / Developmental Dramaturg
Abigail is a director, actor, dramaturg, and educator. She received her BFA in Drama with an emphasis in performance and dramaturgy from The University of Oklahoma. She has been a professional theatre artist for over ten years. She is still relatively new to Belleville and has participated in local theatre in Ontario and worked internationally across the US through her various disciplines. Some of her favourite companies that she has worked for would be Oklahoma Shakespeare, Great River Shakespeare Festival, Uptown Script Development Group, and Co. Arts Theatre Co. She is currently serving on the board for the Belleville Theatre Guild as well as Co. Arts Theatre Co. Her other upcoming project this summer will be with the brand new County Shakespeare Company with acting roles in both Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing. Her favourite theatrical credits include: You're a Good man Charlie Brown (Director), The Gingerbread House (Director), Shakespeare in Love (Viola de Lesseps), Sense and Sensibility (Marianne Dashwood), Angels in America Perestroika (Dramaturg), Vinegar Tom (Dramaturg). She has thoroughly enjoyed joining Theatre Roulant this summer for this wonderful play! Thank you Conrad, John, Sarah and the whole team for such a wonderful experience.

THUNDER & JOE Ambassadors
Folks often think these two guys are the brains of our operation and there are some days we feel the same way.
That is Thunder on the right who at this particular moment was holding out for a raise in pay. Meanwhile brother Joe on the left is all ears. Walking with Thunder, a series of meditative walks through the outback of Prince Edward County is something that helps keep a lot of us sane. And then again, there are others...
